Dr. Anne Swartzwelder joined VCA in 2018, bringing a strong background in veterinary medicine and a deep passion for animal care. Originally from Maryland, she completed her undergraduate studies at Virginia Tech and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine (VMRCVM).
At home, Dr. Swartzwelder enjoys the company of a lively household that includes four cats, three rabbits, and two tree frogs. Her love for animals extends beyond the hospital, and she finds joy in spending time outdoors hiking and nurturing her growing collection of plants.
