Dr. Howard obtained her bachelor's degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences. Following graduation, she relocated to San Diego and completed a one-year rotating internship at VCA Emergency Animal Hospital and Referral Center.  

She has two cats, enjoys spending time at the beach, and practices traditional Polynesian dancing.
