Dr. Tal graduated from Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT, with a degree in Neuroscience and Behavior. Although her family had encouraged her to enter the field of human medicine, her heart was always with the animals and she has never looked back. Dr. Tal graduated from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2001 and came to work in Vermont. She joined VCA Brown Animal Hospital in June, 2001, and became the medical director in 2004.

When not working, Dr. Tal enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons, and dog, Emma. Dr. Tal loves traveling and being out on the water or in the mountains. She hopes to someday find a little more free time to get back to playing the piano.
