Dr. Christine Calvert had an interest in veterinary medicine at a very early age. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry from Virginia Tech and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. Dr. Calvert is the original owner and founder of Calvert Veterinary Center, established in 2004. In 2019, we merged with VCA becoming VCA Calvert Veterinary Center. She is a long-term resident of Pasadena and lives with her husband, Ken, and twin boys, Adam and Alex. Her family of pets includes Adlee, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and Bomber, a Ball Python. She spends her spare time enjoying the waters of the Magothy River and the Chesapeake Bay while boating and paddle boarding. She also enjoys hiking and travel.
"I have always loved veterinary medicine; every day is a different challenge and a chance to improve the lives of pets and the families that care for them."
