Dr. Merichko received her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Rutgers University-New Brunswick. Upon completing her undergraduate studies, she went on to pursue a Master of Public Health degree with a focus on environmental health from West Chester University. While pursuing her master's degree, she also worked as an emergency veterinary technician. After graduation, she attended Western University of the Health Sciences to obtain her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Following veterinary school, Dr. Merichko completed a one-year small animal rotating internship at VCA California Veterinary Specialists in Ontario, California. Dr. Merichko is excited to continue her career in Urgent Care with the team at VCA Cheshire Animal Hospital.
In her free time, she enjoys living an active lifestyle, including kayaking, playing soccer, snowboarding, and spending time with her husband, Great Pyrenees, and Maine Coon.
