We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Jessica Piga (pronounced Pee-ga) to our hospital and community.
Originally from Long Island, Dr. Piga completed her undergraduate studies at SUNY New Paltz before earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. She brings a well-rounded background to Colonial, with experience working in Emergency Medicine on Long Island as well as General Practice in Boston and Auburn.
Dr. Piga is especially passionate about end-of-life and hospice care, and she is deeply committed to supporting pets and their families with compassion, comfort, and dignity during life's most difficult moments.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Piga enjoys reading, biking, and both downhill and cross-country skiing. She shares her home with her dog, Glamorous Indie Rock & Roll—or Indie for short—and her cat, Polly.
Dr. Piga looks forward to building meaningful relationships with clients, patients, and colleagues, and to providing thoughtful, high-quality care to the pets of our community.
