Ashlee Perkins, Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Perkins grew up in Wake Forest, North Carolina. She graduated from Berry College with a BA in Animal Science. From there she went to North Carolina State to complete her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree.
She began her career in animal medicine when she was in high school (as a veterinary assistant) and has since become a very accomplished doctor. She has assisted with exotics, worked with orangutans in a zoo, gained experience with the Department of Agriculture, worked in microbiology laboratories, trained and treated horses, and helped open two general practice veterinary clinics. She is also a Fear Free Certified Professional.
Horses are a passion of hers and she and her husband plan to own some very soon. Currently though, her two year old Australian Cattle Dog, Scarlett, keeps them company.
When not at work, she enjoys equine training, painting, hiking, and is an active member of both the AQHA and AVMA.
