In addition to being a Credentialed Veterinary Technician, Alexis is also our Lead Surgery Technician.

Where were you born and raised?
I was born and raised right here in Phoenix, AZ.

When did you decide that you wanted to part of the veterinary field?
I have loved all animals since I can remember, but junior high is when I knew I wanted to work in the veterinary field someday. After graduating high school, I attended Anthem College were I received my Associates in Veterinary Science. Soon after I received my degree, I became a Certified Veterinary Technician. 

What is your favorite part of the job?
I really enjoy the hands on part of my job. My favorite is performing dental cleanings and assisting in surgical procedures.

Do you have any pets of your own?
I have two adopted cats: Wriggly, my male kitty, and Mia, my female kitty. They are both domestic short hair felines. I also have a freshwater aquarium with multiple fish. 

What do you do for fun when you’re not working? 
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, painting, watching movies and playing video games. Most of all, I love spending time with my boyfriend, friends, family and my kitties.
