Dr. Lenberg was born and raised in Albuquerque. While working as a veterinary assistant she pursued a Bachelor's in Biology from the University of New Mexico followed by a Master's in Biomedical Sciences and Veterinary Anatomy at Colorado State University. She returned home for a year after her masters program and worked for the city's animal shelter as a surgical technician. The following year she returned to Colorado and completed her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at CSU in 2012. During her journey through veterinary school she worked as an emergency veterinary technician and also participated in many spay and neuter programs in under-served, rural communities. During her senior year, Dr. Lenberg performed clinical research on canine parvovirus and her findings were published in JAAHA.

After veterinary school, she completed a rigorous and competitive small animal medicine and surgery internship at VCA's prestigious flagship hospital in Los Angeles, VCA West LA.

She returned to Albuquerque after her internship and worked at VCA West Mesa Animal Hospital for six years before coming to Arizona. She has been part of the team at VCA Del Lago Animal Hospital since October 2019. Dr. Lenberg is dedicated towards client education and providing the best possible care to her patients. Her areas of special interest include internal medicine, neurology, feline medicine, and emergency medicine.

When not on the job, Dr. Lenberg enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking with her golden doodle, cooking, snowboarding, and traveling with her fiancé.
