Originally from Virginia, Dr. Lietzke received her bachelor's degrees in marine science and applied mathematics from Coastal Carolina University in 2012. She then moved to New Jersey to pursue a PhD at Rutgers University, which she completed in 2019; during that time, she also worked with Dr. Slade at Edgebrook as a veterinary assistant. Dr. Lietzke went on to graduate from Cornell University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. She then relocated back to New Jersey where she worked as an emergency veterinarian until she rejoined the Edgebrook family in 2024. Dr. Lietzke has special interests in emergency medicine, nutrition and palliative care.
In her free time, Dr. Lietzke likes to camp, hike, cook and travel. She has four cats including her special needs kitty Leo.
