Dr. John Dwan joined VCA Emergency Animal Hospital & Referral Center in 2025. He enjoys contributing to the diagnostic work-up of patients in the emergency and specialty setting and supporting clinicians in their care.
He earned his biology degree from the University of Utah and his DVM from Colorado State University in 2018. Following a rotating internship at The Pet Emergency & Specialty Center in San Diego, he completed a diagnostic imaging residency at Oregon State University in 2023 and became board certified in radiology in 2022.
Dr. Dwan's professional interests include cross-sectional imaging, particularly computed tomography (CT). Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, camping, kayaking, exercising, and reading.
