Hometown Care at VCA Healthy PAWS Medical Center

Welcome to VCA Healthy PAWS Medical Center, where your pet's health is our top priority and excellent customer service is our goal. We are conveniently located in downtown Haymarket on Route 55 (Washington Street), with easy access to Gainesville, Bristow, Warrenton, and surrounding areas. We are a full-service facility offering wellness exams, vaccinations, hospitalization, surgeries, dental procedures, therapeutic laser treatments, digital dental radiology, ultrasound, and daytime emergency care, as well as boarding for cats and dogs.

Local Medical Issues

There are several local environmental risks endemic in our metropolitan areas. Because of our mild winters, year-round prevention against heartworms and intestinal parasites is crucially important. Our suburban living allows great opportunity for our pets to interact with each other, but this can also spread disease. If your dog frequents parks, neighborhood common areas, or pet-friendly businesses, he or she may be at greater risk. Local wildlife thrives in our area and Lyme disease (spread by deer ticks) and Leptosporosis (spread by water that is contaminated by wild animals), among other risks, are widespread.

VCA Healthy PAWS offers comprehensive prevention, testing, and vaccine protocol to help protect you, your family, and your pets. Visit us today to learn more.

American Animal Hospital Association

The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) sets the standard for quality veterinary care for companion animals. As an accredited hospital, we voluntarily uphold the Association's high standards in 18 different areas and are routinely evaluated on over 900 different standards of veterinary care. Not all animal hospitals are accredited, and we are proud to be amongst only 12-15% of veterinary hospitals that hold this honor.
