Dr. Rebecca Wilson, a Fairfax County native, is thrilled to join the team at VCA Herndon-Reston. After graduating from Virginia Tech, she moved to Massachusetts to obtain her degree in veterinary medicine at Tufts University. Dr. Wilson then completed a year-long internship at VCA SouthPaws, where she explored varied specialties and worked in the emergency room. Now, she is excited to serve her local community while focusing on her core clinical interests in preventive medicine, dermatology, and diagnostic imaging.
Though Dr. Wilson grew up in pet-free home (aside from a memorable ghost shrimp), she spent her youth as the neighborhood's go-to pet sitter, and her career path was solidified while volunteering at Virginia Tech's campus sheep barn.
Outside the hospital, she enjoys reading, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.
