Dr. Rosa Denning Contreras was born in Texas to an Army family. Most of her childhood was spent in Pensacola Florida after her father's retirement. She went to the University of Florida for veterinary school and graduated in 1995. After graduation she has practiced in Florida, Hawaii, New York and Georgia. Her experience includes feline medicine, dentistry and exotic species. Dr. Contreras and her dog Sherlock are moving back to the city to be nearer to her daughter at NYU. Out of the office, Dr. Contreras enjoys hiking, horseback riding and reading mystery novels.
