Dr. Ambrose warmly welcomes you to VCA Knapp’s Corner Animal Hospital, where she is honored to serve the community as our Medical Director.

After graduating from MSU with a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (2006) and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (2010), Dr. Ambrose was selected for an internship at the University of Minnesota, where she enjoyed practicing in the Emergency/Critical Care, Internal Medicine, and Small Animal Surgery departments while teaching veterinary students.

Thereafter Dr. Ambrose joined VCA Animal Wellness Center of Maple Grove, MN, and served as their Medical Director starting in 2016. When her family moved home to Michigan in 2021, she joined the team at VCA Woodland Animal Hospital and established the Diagnostic Abdominal Ultrasound Service.

She is trained in Low Stress Handling® and Fear Free® patient care, prioritizing your pet’s emotional well-being in the clinic to facilitate comprehensive care and improve their medical outcomes. Dr. Ambrose is also excited to continue sharing her special interests in ultrasound, internal medicine, ophthalmology, and dentistry with our clients and patients.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Ambrose can be found spending time with her family, sipping coffee, playing tennis, cooking, hiking, or reading. She is always up for suggestions on a good book!
