Becca Woodaman
Staff Veterinarian DVM

Dr. Becca Woodaman spent the early years of her life in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire and moved to North Carolina at the age of six. She grew up working alongside her mother, a large animal veterinarian, which fostered her passion for medicine and the human-animal bond. Dr. Woodaman received her undergraduate degree at Wake Forest University and graduated from Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2023. At graduation she was awarded the 2023 AAHA Award for Proficiency in Primary Care.

As a new graduate, Dr. Woodaman is fueled by an interest in both veterinary surgery and primary care, and is eager to embark on a fulfilling career focused on providing comprehensive care to animals. During her clinical year at Tuft's, Dr. Woodaman discovered her fascination in surgery and actively pursued opportunities to enhance her surgical skills by closely collaborating with experienced mentors. With a commitment to staying updated on the latest advancements and collaborating with experienced professionals, Dr. Woodaman aims to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to promote the overall health and well-being of her patients.

Upon graduation, Dr. Woodaman moved back to the Lakes Region and joined the staff at VCA Lakes Region Veterinary Hospital. She moved to the area with her partner, two dogs, cat, and horse, who she competes with in the sport of Eventing. In her free time she enjoys spending time on Squam Lake, riding her horse, hiking, ice skating, sewing, and painting.
