Laura joined the staff of VCA Lakewood Animal Hospital in 1999. She is a single mom with three grown children and is now grandmother to four humans and eight fur kids. She currently shares her home with two Cardigan Welsh Corgis, Finn and Taylor, and their feline sidekicks, Oscar and Edgar.

Laura is an active member of Cleveland All-Breed Training Club and spends many pleasurable hours practicing with her dogs to compete in rally and obedience. Weather permitting, they enjoy a nice walk in Metroparks. Laura's warm weather hobby is gardening, though she's not very good at it. Fortunately, daisies grow like weeds! The rest of the year she enjoys binocular and naked-eye astronomy and writing. A huge sci-fi fan, Laura makes sure to keep up with the universe of Star Trek.
