Board-Certified Feline Diplomate
Your cat is special, so it deserves superior care. Dr. Cheryl Stanley has been a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (AVBP) in Feline Practice for over 20 years. The ABVP was established in 1978 to recognize excellence in clinical practice. Candidates for certification must complete a rigorous testing process in their area of specialization, as well as recertification every 10 years.
Dr. Stanley is one of a very small group of specialists who have earned diplomate status with the American Board of Veterinary Practitioner (ABVP). She completed her certification in 2001 and has been recertified twice. Currently there are only 900 veterinarians world-wide who are certified in one of the ten practice categories and less than 65 veterinarians in the United States have a Feline Certification, distinguishing Dr. Stanley in the field of veterinary medicine. The arduous additional training she has undergone is a testament to the excellence in medical care she provides her clients. This can be seen in all aspects of feline care including experienced diagnostic, medical, surgical and dentistry. Although she does not limit her practice to cats exclusively, she has a "special touch" with feline patients that many cat owners appreciate. Her experience with feline disease processes afford her patients excellent medical care at VCA Lexington Boulevard Animal Hospital.
