Dr. Hegde grew up in New Jersey and attended college at Rutgers University. While growing up, she cared for many small animals like hamsters, birds, and turtles. She attended veterinary school in Grenada at St. George's University where she developed her love for surgery and diagnostics. In her first job after veterinary school, she was exposed to alternative medicine therapies which quickly piqued her interest. After joining our team, she attended the Chi University in Reddick, Florida where she received her certification for Small Animal Acupuncture.

Dr. Hegde and her husband have two dogs at home. Phoebe is a Rat Terrier mix and Birdie is an American Staffordshire Terrier mix. They all go hiking as often as possible because they love spending time outdoors. In her quiet time, Dr. Hegde enjoys painting and reading but her real passion is traveling to new places.
