Dr. Tamara Jacobson was raised in the Bay Area and studied sociology and history at the University of California, Davis. After college, she worked in sports and entertainment marketing and completed an international business credential at Cambridge University in the UK.
She soon realized that veterinary medicine was where her heart was.
This change in direction eventually led her to the University of Minnesota, where she obtained her veterinary degree and won an award from the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine for clinical excellence. Following vet school, Dr. Jacobson moved to Denver to complete a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at VCA Alameda East Veterinary Hospital. Her interests include critical care, dentistry, internal medicine, wound management, and pain management.
Outside of work, Dr. Jacobson enjoys attending concerts, spending time at the beach, hiking, rock climbing, eating good food, and spending time with her partner David, her son, her adorable nieces, and her two mischievous cats.
