Raised in the Bay Area, Dr. Tamara Jacobson began her academic journey at the University of California, Davis, where she earned her undergraduate degree. She then broadened her perspective by living, studying, and working in the United Kingdom, gaining valuable life experience that ultimately inspired her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
Dr. Jacobson earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the University of Minnesota, where she received an award from the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine for clinical excellence. Following veterinary school, she completed a rigorous rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at VCA Alameda East Veterinary Hospital in Denver, Colorado.
Her clinical interests include dentistry and oral surgery, anesthesia, preventive medicine, wound care, and pain management. Dr. Jacobson is committed to providing thoughtful, high-quality care to her patients and their families.
She currently resides in Berkeley with her husband, two children, a fluffy cat, and an energetic dog.
