Dr. Joshua Scharf is from Charlottesville, Virginia. He received his B.S. in Animal Science at Gettysburg College and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech. Dr. Scharf joined the VCA Mountainview team in mid-November, 2023. His favorite part of the job is developing a trusting, long-term relationship with clients while always practicing excellent medicine and has a special interest in surgery and client communication. When not at work, he enjoys rock climbing, volleyball, hiking, chess, and traveling. He also enjoys spending time with his two cats, Huey and Iroh, and his two dogs, Dekker, a Great Pyrenees, and his Yorkie, Bartleby.
