Dr. Brandon Cohen is a Northern California native who joined VCA Natomas in July 2019. He received his Bachelor’s degree at Cal State Hayward in 2008 then completed his Veterinary degree at University of Glasgow School of Veterinary Medicine inn 2015. He has an interest in emergency and critical care medicine. When asked why he likes about his job, Dr. Cohen says, “I love being able to help animals as I am a firm believer in One Health and the human animal bond is an important component of that so I take joy in helping the creatures that cannot always speak for themselves.”
Outside of the hospital, he shares his home with his Gargoyle Gecko, Demona; Black Albino Corn Snake, Jörmungandr Shoe Lace; Yellow Australian Kelpie, Tyr; Black Australian Kelpie, Arbeg; Deer Legged Chihuahua, Fenrir; Black DSH cat, Scary; Black DMH cat, Rune; Hairless Sphynx, Ruby and Opal; and English Mastiff, Rue. Dr. Cohen enjoys spending time with his expanding family, hiking, running, wine tasting, beer tasting, concerts, reading, watching horror movies, and playing video games.
