I was born and raised in rural Washington State and moved to Austin with my partner and four cats in 2012. Volunteering with my brother and sister (who are also cat lovers) regularly at the Humane Society in my hometown helped steer me towards a career helping animals. I have worked in the veterinary field since 2012 and have been with VCA since August 2019. As mentioned, I have four cats—Goblin, Jo, Moon, and Cow—that I love dearly. My partner and I are both avid (vinyl) record collectors and also operate an online-based record store, Goblin's Garage (named after our beloved music loving kitty, Goblin). In my spare time, I also enjoy working on my 1972 GMC pickup truck, gardening, and thrifting.
