Dr. Smagala completed her undergraduate degree with a B.S. in Animal Science from the University of Delaware and received a Master's degree from Drexel University. She then attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Smagala had worked as a veterinarian at a small animal practice in South Jersey for seven years, before joining our VCA Old Marple team in Fall of 2018. When she's not working, Dr. Smagala enjoys reading, spending time with friends and family, traveling or snuggling with her cats, Frederick and Roger. Fun fact – she's not the only veterinarian in the family! Dr. Smagala has a twin sister who is also a veterinarian in Delaware.
