Mariana grew up in Georgia, bouncing around Gwinnett County before finding her place in the veterinary field. Her parents are from Medellín, Colombia, and she loves visiting whenever she can, staying close to her family's roots.
She is currently attending Kennesaw State University, majoring in biology, with plans to pursue veterinary medicine after graduation. Her passion for helping animals has been a constant throughout her life, and she always knew this was the path she wanted to take. Mariana has been part of the VCA family since 2024, and what she loves most is how close-knit her team is.
Outside of work, Mariana enjoys doing her own nails as a way to express her creativity, trying out new coffee shops and restaurants around town, and collecting little trinkets and collectibles that bring her joy. At home, she shares her life with two pets: Pascal, her Maine coon, and Luna, her Staffordshire bull terrier/pit bull mix — both of whom have stayed by her side throughout her journey toward becoming a veterinarian.
