Leslie has a BA in Anthropology and an AS in Veterinary Technology. She worked in high tech in IT for 10 years before going back to school. She started her career as a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2006 in internal medicine and oncology, then worked for four years in ophthalmology and more recently worked in dentistry, surgery, and general practice. Prior to taking a hospital management role, Leslie worked for two years as the Regional Technician Director for VCA's NorCal field team.
Leslie is a Fear Free Certified Professional, has a Six Sigma Yellow Belt, and is a Certified Compassion Fatigue Professional. Leslie has a long history of partnering with shelters and rescue groups as a foster and luckily has a very patient family who helps with the litter boxes, potty training, and general care of a wide variety of animals who need a safe place to land for a bit until they find their forever home. Her goal at VCA Winchester Animal Hospital is to provide a low-stress, positive environment for patients with exceptional medicine, a welcoming and informative setting for clients, and a safe, fun, learning environment for her team.
Leslie has a senior rescue Labrador Retriever named Gulliver and two "cow cat" brothers named Dustin and Xander. Her son named them after Red Sox players. Leslie resides in the Santa Cruz mountains.
