Dr. Clawson grew up in Rockford, IL, with a big, diverse family and a wide variety of pets. 

She completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois and her certificate of Veterinary Medical Acupuncture from the Curacore Integrative Medicine and Education Center in Fort Collins, CO. 

Her professional interests in addition to acupuncture and pain management include animal behavior, dentistry, internal medicine, oncology, and shelter medicine. She is a Fear Free Certified. professional.

Dr. Clawson currently lives in Salt Lake City with her husband, John; daughters, Riley and Ruby; dogs, Dora, Jack, Penny and Snacks; as well as cats, Cash, Meatloaf, and Hans Gruber. Dr. Clawson’s interests outside of trying to always make everyone laugh are camping, hiking, reading, traveling, and true crime documentaries.
