A native of Livingston, Tennessee, Dr. Halie McDonald has always been dedicated to animal care. She joined VCA Ragland and Riley Animal Hospital in 2019, where she worked in various roles—kennel assistant, client service representative, and veterinary assistant—before pursuing her veterinary education at Lincoln Memorial University College of Veterinary Medicine.
What Dr. McDonald loves most about veterinary medicine is working closely with clients to help them make informed decisions about their pets' health and wellness. Her special interests within the field include internal medicine, ultrasonography, and public health, where she strives to make a lasting impact on both individual animals and the broader community.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. McDonald enjoys spending time with her family and her cat, Charlie. She also enjoys baking and hiking in her free time.
