Dr. Tataryn joined VCA Southern Tier Animal Hospital in September 2019. She first came to the Southern Tier to attend Binghamton University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Before beginning veterinary school, she gained a few years of valuable hands-on experience working as a veterinary assistant at several local animal hospitals and shelters.
She went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. Following graduation, Dr. Tataryn completed a small animal rotating internship at VCA Animal Specialty Group in San Diego, CA, further advancing her clinical skills and knowledge.
After spending six years in California, she returned to the Southern Tier to be closer to family and once again enjoy the beauty of East Coast seasons.
Dr. Tataryn's professional interests include feline and canine medicine, preventive care, Fear Free practices, and client education.
Outside of the hospital, she enjoys gardening, reading, crafting, traveling, and spending quality time at home with her pets.
