Increasingly people like you use and are familiar with these therapies, and understand the benefits of your pet’s wellness.
What is Pet Acupuncture?
One the world’s oldest practices, Veterinary Acupuncture has been used for centuries in China to produce healing. Acupuncture involves the gentle insertion of very fine metal needles into specific energy points of the body where nerve bundles and blood vessels intersect. Needles are left in place or slightly rotated for 10-20 minutes. Rather than scaring animals, many cats and dogs find acupuncture very relaxing and get sleepy.
“I find that using Acupuncture and Chiropractic modalities together result in greater benefit for the animal’s health,” said Troy Everson DVM, CVA, CVCT, Veterinarian at VCA Tiara Rado Animal Hospital. Dr. Everson is so passionate about Integrative Medicine that he is Certified in Veterinary Acupuncture (CVA) and Certified in Veterinary Chiropractic Medicine (CVCT). See Dr. Everson’s bio.
