Dr. Nick Hopkins was born in Illinois and moved to Albuquerque between 1st and 2nd grade. He attended New Mexico State University and graduated in 1999 with his B.S. in Animal Science. He attended veterinary school at Washington State University and graduated in 2004. He returned to Albuquerque and has been practicing in the Albuquerque area ever since. He has an interest in wound care and early socialization of puppies to help prevent behavior problems.
Dr. Hopkins lives here in Albuquerque with his two dogs, Moof and Shenzie. They are two mutts he rescued in 2017 that he loves very much. Outside of work, Dr. Hopkins volunteers with Big Brother Big Sister and enjoys weight lifting, trying new food, hiking, reading, writing, watching movies, and tabletop story games.
