Dr. Stacey Rael was raised in Albuquerque for most of her life where she completed her undergraduate degree at the University of New Mexico in 2009. She continued her exploration in animal health at the Colorado State University where she earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. Following graduation, she expanded her training under the mentorship of the Pet Specialists of Monterey, in California, as their second veterinary intern. As a Lobo fan at heart, she prefers the lifestyle of the southwest and to treat the animals of her home town. Dr. Rael's spends most of her free time with her family, her two orange cats, and her dog. Her hobbies consist of gardening at home and cycling on the scenic trails of the Albuquerque area. Dr. Rael's interests in veterinary medicine include trauma stabilization, diagnostic interpretation, and decreasing antibiotic use by successful management of canine and feline skin allergies.
