After working in human medicine for almost 15 years, Mike changed careers to work with animals. The bond between humans and animals and the significant benefits it provides for both was apparent to him. He knew he wanted to be involved in helping in this area, and figured his experience in the medical field would be a smooth transition.

Since graduating from VTI in 2018, Mike has worked at several small vaccine clinics and spent 3 years at a local shelter before coming to VCA Valley Vet. As a veterinary technician, he has the privilege of helping both people and their four-legged family members.

In his free time he likes to travel, spend time with his rescued Pitbull mixes (Yogi and Annie), and work in his home woodshop.
