Expert care with a passion for every family pet!

At VCA Village Animal Hospital, we look forward to welcoming you and your pets. We believe that pets make up an important part of our families and deserve the very best of care. In fact, when you come in, you'll see exactly why our veterinarians are praised for their kind and thorough care.

The better we get to know your pets, the better we can provide the best possible health care for them. We strongly believe in the maxim "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." Preventative health care is the foundation for a long and happy life for your pet. We strive to incorporate the most up-to-date preventative procedures available. We'll give you and your pet all the time you need, and never rush through an exam. We'll also carefully track the course of your pet's care, which is so important to your pet's long-term health.

In every case, you'll be served by experienced, knowledgeable members of our staff. Our veterinarians, veterinary technicians and other pet-friendly personnel are trained to the highest standards and stay current with continuous education. Their knowledge of the latest veterinary medicines and procedures ensures that all our pet patients get the best in prevention and healing methods.

Local Medical Issues

In our warm, sunny Florida weather your pets are at risk for problems year-round that Northern animals only have to deal with for a few months. Since we don't have months of freezing weather; heartworms, fleas, ticks, and many different intestinal parasites can infect your pet all year long. Allergies are also a year-long problem because of our extended growing and blooming seasons. Allergies can manifest as dry, itchy skin, hair loss, ear infections, anal gland infections, or by respiratory signs. There are also diseases such as leptospirosis that thrive in our warm, wet environment and that can be fatal to your pet if they are not vaccinated against it.
