Vanessa is originally from San Francisco, California. She has been with VCA since 2018, beginning her career at VCA Emergency and Specialty Hospital in the Bay Area before transferring to Las Vegas. She graduated from the veterinary technology program at Carrington College and has been passionate about patient care ever since.
Her family includes three beloved dogs: Theo, a gentle giant Rottweiler; Boba, a spunky Chihuahua-shepherd mix; and Nemo, a rescued three-and-a-half-legged Poodle-Chihuahua-Shih Tzu mix who is the apple of her eye. Please don't tell the other two.
Outside of work, Vanessa enjoys swimming, pet sitting dogs, and singing karaoke. She also has a special interest in senior Chihuahuas, fostering dogs, and anesthesia.
What she enjoys most about vet med is advocating for her patients and providing education to clients, ensuring pets receive the best care possible.
