Kit Pleasant was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. Her leadership experience began in hotel hospitality, where she focused on concierge desk management and, in 2018, earned the distinction of being the highest-rated concierge at any Hilton property in the Western Hemisphere, based on global guest satisfaction surveys.
In 2019, Kit moved to Los Angeles with the goal of professionally transitioning into animal welfare. She has since provided empathetic leadership in both the public animal shelter and nonprofit animal rescue communities of Southern California, personally assisting in the rescue and ongoing care of thousands of homeless cats and dogs over the past seven years.
Outside of her career, Kit is an avid nature lover, road tripper, and film fanatic. If she isn’t hiking in Griffith Park with her English Bull Terrier, she’s probably driving said terrier 500 miles to a campsite or taking advantage of her American Cinematheque membership at a 35mm screening.
Kit is excited to lend her talent for hospitality and passion for animal welfare to the VCA West LA community.
