We enjoy American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) accreditation as AAHA partners with us, giving us the tools to meet established criteria for the best practices in veterinary medicine, promote safety in the hospital and create loyalty. We care about these things because we want to do what we do best—extend and enhance the quality and duration of pets’ lives for the people in the community we love!

At VCA Winslow, we also care about our impact on our world. With our Green Initiative, we have taken these steps below to have environmentally friendly practices, and plan to continue to implement more environmentally friendly practices in the future:

• An eco-friendly vacuum system
• Recycling the oxygen for our anesthetic procedures
• Energy-efficient lights
• Digital x-rays (they produce far less waste than traditional x-ray technology)
• Recycling pill bottles, cans, plastic products, etc., and a dedicated dumpster to have all cardboard boxes recycled
• Recycling our chlorinated water in the aquatic treadmill.
• Energy Star eco-friendly washers and dryers
