Hello! My name is Azelia, and I am a licensed veterinary technician at VCA A Plus Animal Hospital. I have been working in the veterinary field since 2018 and was born and raised here in Nevada.
I joined the veterinary field because I wanted to learn what makes our beloved companions so special (haha!). I graduated from the Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) Veterinary Nursing Program in 2023. My professional interests include preventive care, anesthesia, low-stress patient handling, and caring for pets throughout every stage of life, from playful puppies and kittens to their golden years.
At home, I have three perfect pets: Hiccup (pictured), an extra-perfect cat who has no eyes due to a history of glaucoma; Kiba, an American bully who loves to play ball and swim; and Izumi, a mischievous brown cat who has brought plenty of chaos into our lives!
Outside of work, I love cooking, traveling, and spending quality time with my husband. We are big foodies and consider ourselves self-proclaimed food critics whenever we go out to eat!
