Dr. Sydney Burke graduated from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2025. Before earning her DVM, she received her bachelor's degree in Animal Science from Clemson University in 2020. As a new graduate, Dr. Burke brings strong enthusiasm and a passion for expanding her knowledge in the veterinary field. During her education, she developed particular interests in surgery and preventative care medicine.
Dr. Burke was first introduced to VCA Allendale through a summer internship following her first year of veterinary school. She continued to support the team during subsequent summer and winter breaks and completed a clinical rotation with the hospital during her final year. She is thrilled to be back full time and looks forward to building lasting relationships with pets and their families within the community.
Dr. Burke was born and raised in Holland, Michigan with her parents, two sisters, and a family Labrador who helped inspire her passion for veterinary medicine. In her free time, she enjoys working out, spending time on the water with friends and family, and reading.
