Lakin is a dedicated veterinary assistant committed to providing the best care and compassion for animals. Lakin is new to this field but brings lots of diverse experiences. Previously, she worked for a mobile vaccine clinic administering vaccines to dogs and cats. Before veterinary medicine, Lakin was a member of the United States Air Force. She is originally from Missouri, but throughout her time in military she lived in Texas, Mississippi, Nevada, and Germany. Lakin is currently attending school to complete her bachelor's degree in animal science and plans to apply to veterinary school in the fall of 2026. Lakin has a strong passion for animals, and in her free time, she loves to volunteer with the Bradshaw Animal Shelter and the Sacramento Wildlife Association. Lakin strives to approach all clients and pets with empathy and without judgment. Besides volunteer work, Lakin also loves spending time with friends, attending live music concerts, watching football, and traveling.
