I grew up in the suburbs of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2010. I practiced locally in Brantford, Ontario, for 2 years after graduating. I then moved to Maryland with my wife (who is also a veterinarian) and worked in College Park, Maryland, for 4 years while she completed her internship and residency in emergency and critical care. Following a big cross country move to California, I joined the VCA American River team in 2016. Now I am excited to be the Medical Director of this great hospital and team. I enjoy all aspects of veterinary medicine but I have a particular interest in internal medicine, surgery and pharmacology. I currently live in Roseville with my wife, Kristen, son, Theo, and our 3 cats (Lee, Abby and Hank). In my free time I enjoy mountain biking, skiing, kayaking, hiking and travelling.
