Staff Veterinarian DVM

Dr. Perrone is a Long Island native, and attended SUNY Stony Brook for her undergraduate studies and graduated in 2005. She completed veterinary school at The Ohio State University in 2009, and completed her internship at the Veterinary Medical Center of Long Island. She joined the Animal General family in 2010 and has been there since. Her professional interests include internal medicine, soft tissue surgery and clinical pathology. Often you can find Dr. Perrone collaborating with other DVMs or doing research to keep herself at the forefront of veterinary medicine. In addition, she serves on the Wildlife Center of Long Island's  Advisory Board, and takes part in caring for Long Island's sick and injured wildlife.

Dr. Perrone wears the superhero cape in and out of the hospital, raising her two daughters to be thoughtful and kind to all creatures great and small. She prides herself in being the best mom she can be, and along with her husband, they take care of the small menagerie that reside at home: two Havanese dogs named Brooklyn and Olive; one cat, Cindy; a milk snake named Jake; and a box turtle named Squirt. When not working, she enjoys running, snowboarding, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
