Dr. Cortez was born in Northern Kentucky. After attending the University of Cincinnati for her undergrad, she moved to Columbus, Ohio where she attended The Ohio State University and graduated with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Her special interests include emergency medicine, nutrition, pain management, and the human-animal bond.

In her free time, she enjoys cooking and reading. She currently owns four pets: three dogs and one cat; all whom she has rescued. She cannot wait to work with you and your pets.
