Practice Manager
Ever since she can remember, Chris has enjoyed science and medicine. A life-long animal lover as well, she decided that a career in veterinary medicine was the perfect choice for her! Chris is thrilled to advocate for animals every day as the Practice Manager of Bakerstown Animal Hospital.
Born and raised in the Pittsburgh suburbs, Chris attended the nearby Vet Tech Institute to receive her degree in veterinary technology. She completed her externship right here at Bakerstown Animal Hospital in 1998, then was offered a position even though the hospital wasn’t hiring at the time! After 10 years, Chris was promoted to Supervising Veterinary Technician, then became the Operations Manager three years later. 15 years into her veterinary career, Chris was promoted to Practice Manager.
Chris loves working closely with the clinic’s veterinarians and staff members to uphold the practice’s team concept. She strives to stay on the cutting edge of veterinary treatments and services, thereby implementing them into the practice’s regimen to ensure superior care for the clinic’s patients. Medically, Chris has a special interest in pain management; helping a pet to live longer via pain-reduction techniques is the ultimate reward for her!
Chris lives in Shaler, Pennsylvania with her husband, their daughter Caitlyn, and a two pound Chihuahua named Penelope. She is full of spirit. Penelope enjoys playing with her favorite yellow stuffed duck, long naps and protecting the household.
When she isn’t tending to the needs of pets here at the hospital, Chris enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, reading and following veterinary blogs, and fishing.
