Tanya has had a special place in her heart her whole life for animals. She has always had pets in her life. Tanya’s earliest memory of pets is reading books to her Grandparent’s two Labrador Retrievers when she would visit. She would go horseback riding during the summer and would try to go to the zoo many times a year as a child. Tanya was excited to fulfill her dream of working with animals when joining the VCA Bakerstown Animal Hospital team as a Client Service Representative in September 2016.

Tanya enjoys meeting all of the hospital’s clients and pets, and getting to know them on a personal level, and watching them grow. She loves interacting with the pets and learning about the different breeds. Tanya likes watching the staff do an amazing job in treating all of their patients.

Tanya grew up in Reserve Township, PA, with her mom, step dad, three brothers, fish, guinea pigs and dogs. She now lives with her husband, Derek and their three rescue dogs. Chanel is a Pomeranian, who loves to give high fives. Dolce is a Pomeranian, who is still learning the basics like "sit." Lastly, Tanya’s long haired Chihuahua, Lily, loves curling up in a blanket to sleep, laying in the sun, or giving paw and getting treats!

Outside of work, Tanya likes to take her dogs for walks to the North Shore and camping on the weekend. She loves spending time with her, family and friends. When she gets some quiet time, Tanya enjoys watching movies and catching up on TV shows with her dogs.
