Dr. Yesenia Salas is originally from Houston, Texas. She earned her bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science with a minor in Spanish from Texas A&M University before attending Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She went on to complete her clinical year at Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine, where she also did an externship with VCA. Her professional interests include emergency and critical care, internal medicine, and surgery.
When she's not working, Dr. Salas enjoys staying active by going to the gym, running, and, most of all, eating good food.
At home, she shares her life with Chispa, a 6-year-old Husky, and Cheese, a 4-year-old orange cat.
Fun Fact: Dr. Salas is passionate about bridging the gap in veterinary medicine by offering clear communication and education, particularly for Spanish-speaking communities.
