Dr. Perez is originally from Miami, FL. She discovered her love for veterinary medicine working as an intern at the Tallahassee Museum where she helped with animal care and husbandry while attending the Florida State University. She graduated from FSU with a Bachelor's in Science. She took some time off to work as a medical receptionist and veterinary assistant for 2 years before attending Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in the island of St. Kitts. Dr. Perez completed her clinical year at her alma maters rivalry school the University of Florida. 

Dr. Perez returned home to Miami after graduation and is excited to have joined the VCA Brickell Animal Hospital team. She has a special interest in preventative medicine, pathology and dermatology. Outside of work, Dr. Perez likes to spend time with her pets and family as well as travel.
