Dr. Wilber is originally from Northern Ohio. She considers herself to be one of the lucky ones in life to be able to enjoy her work every day. Caring for animals has been her passion since she was a child walking all the neighborhood dogs and working with horses at the public stable. She obtained her doctorate in 1993 at The Ohio State University's School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, Dr. Wilber practiced in Atlanta, Georgia, for over 11 years before moving to South Florida in 2004. She has been the medical director at VCA Brickell since its inception in June of 2009.

She enjoys all aspects of general practice and has obtained certifications in Hospice and Palliative Care and the Human Animal Bond. She is certified as both a Fear Free Practitioner and a Feline Friendly Professional. She is a member of the Emergency and Critical Care Society, NAVAS, AAFP, GVMA, FVMA and AVMA.

Dr. Wilber shares her home with her 2 dogs, Becca and James, and 3 cats, Brody, Orange, and Ross. In her free time, she enjoys the warm Florida weather and getting to spend time on the water.
