Dr. Lauren Duffee is a board certified veterinary anesthesiologist and certified acupuncturist with a passion for evidence-based medicine and advanced pain management strategies. She completed her anesthesia residency at the University of Pennsylvania in 2018, followed by her certification in veterinary acupuncture in early 2019. Her clinical interests include pulmonary mechanics and ventilation, locoregional anesthesia, and research in pain management. She is actively involved in developing novel locoregional techniques for both canine and feline patients, expanding multimodal pain relief options in veterinary medicine.

Dr. Duffee is also an educator at heart, having designed and led both introductory and advanced anesthesia courses for veterinary technicians. She takes pride in coaching technicians toward their VTS (Veterinary Technician Specialist) certification, fostering a culture of curiosity and professional growth. She prioritizes a collaborative approach to anesthesia, ensuring that every team member understands the "why" behind protocols and problem-solving strategies. While deeply serious about patient care, she believes a veterinary hospital should be a place of both productivity and camaraderie—always bringing a sense of humor and positivity to the team.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Duffee is an avid gardener and serves as the president of the New England Rose Society. She enjoys sharing her passion for plants and flowers and often brings in fresh blooms for the team to enjoy.
