Dr. Sonya Saldana was born and raised in San Antonio. She has three degrees from Texas A&M University—Biomedical Science, Veterinary Science, and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Saldana has extensive patient and surgical experience from owning and operating her own practice in Dallas, Texas. After selling her practice, she pursued veterinary medicine in various cities across Texas and Louisiana, where she also holds a veterinary license. She joined VCA Castle Hills in February of 2025.
She has since returned to San Antonio and loves being back in her hometown, where she enjoys general practice with an emphasis on preventive medicine and surgery. During her time away from work, she enjoys physical activity, outdoors or in a gym, spending time with family, friends, her three dogs, four cats, two birds, and her aquarium.
